Terms of use
Free to use, free to embed with attribution, and not a substitute for your payroll department or a tax professional.
Estimates, not advice
PaycheckState calculators produce estimates based on published federal and state withholding formulas. They are for planning and education. Your employer's payroll system makes the final calculation, and your actual tax is determined when you file. Nothing on this site is tax, legal, or financial advice. We work to keep every figure current and sourced, but we make no warranty that any result is error-free, and we are not liable for decisions made based on it.
Using the calculators
You may use the calculators freely for personal or commercial purposes. You may quote or cite results with a link to the page. You may not scrape the site at volume, republish the calculators as your own, or remove attribution from embedded versions.
Embedding
When embed codes are offered, you may embed a PaycheckState calculator on any website free of charge, provided the "Powered by PaycheckState" attribution link included in the embed stays visible and unaltered. We may update or discontinue embeds at any time.
Sources and corrections
Every state page lists its primary sources. If you find a figure that disagrees with an official publication, tell us at hello@paycheckstate.com and we will check it and correct the data.
